Dear Ellen, I just woke up, got my cup of coffee and sat down at my laptop. The very first thing I saw after opening it up was your story. I have been missing you and I could picture you sitting in your chair writing this. I loved it and felt that I was there with you.
Love your writing, love your thinking….it just seems to fit where I’m at too. And thank you again for coming to the Hiawatha Club last summer-that was a special evening.
A bounty found in these few lines…sense of place, lake and Lake; personal interaction; tactile experience with velveteen; internal dialogue; intrinsic sense of self, peaceful pondering.
Well said Ellen, about looking ahead to the future. I've always thought that way too, always something new to discover, to fix, to learn. A book is a new adventure for me when I read it (thank you for being an author who writes books, what would our lives be like if nobody wrote books?). Projects like helping setting up the stanchion are the things that keep me going.

Miss seeing your face and getting those hugs but mostly eating that lemon bread! 😂❤️😘
Always love your writing!
I love that you’re doing this, Ellen. I’m excited to see where it leads you. Sending love and encouragement!

It’s all about the journey…perhaps time has not flown, but we have!
Excellent! I too, seem to be at this stage in life. Time has gone by way too quickly!
