I understand! I had a moment alone last week, sitting on the porch, letting my chicken free-ranged for a bit. The sun began to rise up through the trees. I was sipping coffee, (my favorite drink) passing my fingertips across the bottom of the type on the bottom of my cup (if you only knew. I found the set of Bennington coffee cups and saucers it at a yard sale!. They imprint their pottery with their name on the bottom of every piece. Cups once out of my reach but they found me, which made it even better), and I thought WOW, this is so awesome, all of it, the woods, my chicken, the cup, the coffee, the peace, so many of my dreams in one sitting.

I loved this! I have been trying to build a habit of focusing on something positive when I'm feeling down and it's so far been working really well. This reminded me of that. A couple of weeks ago, I stepped out of the airport (returning from a long stay in Montana, and their winters are...depressing, to say the least) and I was thrilled just looking at how green the grass was! I am always excited to see winter turning into spring. Thank you for this post!

My great-aunt had a wonderful saying to describe events such as these - that was a perfumed moment. I always liked that turn of phrase!
